What makes a good scientists?

-In what ways do you see yourself as a writer? Are you a poet? A journalist? A blogger? What style of writing is most familiar and comfortable for you? I see myself as a writer that is always developing different writing styles with my experiences throughout writing. I could see myself as a journalist because a journalist is a type of writing style that includes short, simple sentences and paragraphs that present objective stories based on facts. With that being said I think a journalist best fits my writing style.  The writing I’m comfortable with is writing short paragraphs and simple sentences because its straightforward and I am able to organized it well.

-What is your impression of scientific writing? My impression of scientific writing  is that its a published report describing original research results. The purpose of scientific writing I  think is to communicate scientific research findings to other people.

-How do Wilson’s ideas fit with your experience or ideas about scientific writing? Wilson’s ideas does fit with my experiences and ideas about scientific writing because he mentions about scientific writing is based on observations and research results, which I agree and have experience with doing scientific writing in the past.

-What if anything surprised you about Wilson’s description of scientists, and their emotions and values as they fit into the process of science?  What surprised me with Wilson’s description of scientists is that he really wanted to understand how social behavior affected humans throughout science, which is interesting to me.
